Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun

I should have known as much but Kill is right, the sun helps people heal. I feel filled up with energy from our family trip to Mexico. The other reason that I feel filled up is from the communal living because I think that living near other loved ones helps people feel connected and therefor healthier. It was glorious.

I ate fresh oysters from the beach and big, fat shrimp (minor vegan forays into seafood). Two more things that we know are good for ill people (and all people):
  1. Sun, vitamin D, warmth
  2. People, community, love
On another note, I am getting very excited for surgery and I'm saying goodbye to my left nipple every day. It's such a pleasing thought to remove the hard lumps that I feel when I hug, sleep on or lounge with Kill. I use a version of Grandma Lavender's mantra many times each day "I'm healthy, I'm happy, I'm healing and my immune system works perfectly." It makes me so much less scared and I think actually, that "the Yam" (one of my tumors names) is shrinking in response.

Happy Yam shrinking, sun getting Wednesday!!!
