When on chemo, people would say to me "but you look so good". Now, sometimes they were just being kind but the right make-up really helped. Here's a sneak-peek into my daily improvement routine. We all have troubles and difficulties really do show on your face but we can look cuter than we feel... with help.
Step 1: apply sunscreen, wait a minute then apply a lotion. *I use Ombrelle spf 60 and Burt's Bees daily radiance cream, both well priced and have one stand-out feature*Step 2: apply a lentil sized drop of foundation, liquid illuminator and more lotion (if you have dry skin or want sheer coverage) on your hand. Mix together and use a brush or fingers to dab on face and blend in. Apply a translucent face powder to set.
Step 4: Eyebrow powder, eyeliner and a skin coloured eyeshadow go on next. I never needed eyebrow help before but they've come back blond... so weird.
Look, I know that it sounds like a lot of make-up but look at the first picture compared to the last. Sometimes 10 minutes can make your day better and if you're sad/sick/self conscious then do what you need to do - including a little facial therapy.
Love,
Cailey
