I saw a film preview this week at "The Best, Exotic Marigold Hotel" and it quoted the idea that you should "lean into fear or stress". I've liked this idea before when the show 30 Rock's Jack Donaghee said that "he could go deeper into the crevasse", referencing climbers who fall into ice cracks and crawl down to get out. Sometimes, you need to embrace the unpleasant so that you can end it sooner or get a slightly better outcome. I don't "fight" my cancer or hate it because it's inside of me and I don't hate myself...there's the leaning! Instead, I eat my best options so that my body can focus on healing. I try to think, what would make my body work the least hard so that it can heal faster?
I've really enjoyed your selections on the poll, although, they seem to be unanimously chocolate oriented! My answer was creamy like soup but it was a close second to salty like chips. Tell me what you like! is comfort food always junk food, in your opinion?

Now that I've talked about how well I eat, I'll admit that I craved Miss Vickies Original chips all week so I ate vegan poutine at the Big Cheese on 17th Ave. It was great, but no Miss Vickies. Sometimes you've got to have a small serving of what you really want!
Cail, you are leaning harder than anyone I can imagine! Even while you are in pain you are way more positive than most people. I am so sorry you had a sad week, but could that be partially from the new meds? Horrible they are making you sick. You are amazing and doing everythnig possible to melt cancer. I love you!
